Models
A model is an approximation or representation of an object, physical
system, process and/or a simplified description of a phenomenon and/or abstract system.

Reality
Reality is the quality or state of existing and being actual or true.

A Taxonomy of Models

Concrete Models are physical models of objects or a collection of objects or a system of objects (existing or in design)

Concrete models are physically constructed representations and/or approximations of existing physical forms and are usually called scale models.

Theoretic Models are models of phenomena and/or abstract systems (existing or in design)
Theoretic models are intellectually constructed from hypotheses, often using mathematics as simplified descriptions to assist calculations and/or predictions, that are verified by experimentation.

Universal Models are models to explore universal questions

Universal Models are intellectually constructed to explain and understand fundamental questions of existence, creation and the meaning of life such as: Who am I? Where did I come from? What is my purpose? What happens when I die?

A Taxonomy of Realities

Objective Reality
Objective Reality is based on publicly verifiable data (everyone agrees) that an object, event, situation and/or phenomenon exists (is real).

Subjective Reality
Subjective Reality is based on a belief (not publicly verifiable) by an individual or a shared belief system (not publicly verifiable) by a group of individuals that an event, situation and/or phenomenon exists (is true).

Statistical Reality
Statistical Reality is based on the probability of the occurrence of an event, situation and/or phenomenon that will happen in the future.

Apparent Reality
Apparent Reality is subject to change at any time.

Perception is understanding and/or interpreting our awareness of something through our external senses (sight, sound, touch, taste, smell). It is basically a process of modeling our awareness to comprehend what our external senses are telling us. The same process is used to understand and interpret our internal mind functions (memory, indecisions, decisions, commitments, morals, values, etc). It is modeling our internal mind functions to comprehend what our thoughts are telling us.

This modeling process of our awareness (external and internal) is based on our models of our environment, what is important, how society functions, how society should function, our roles, etc. All of these are models that we have acquired during our life. This is our perception of how the world works (our world view) and this is our Reality. We form our Reality (individually and collectively) from our models of the way the world works.

If we change our models, we change our Reality.
